FAQs
What should my child wear?
1
Comfortable clothes they can move and play in! Think athletic wear, leggings, or soft shorts and t-shirts. Classes are typically done barefoot or in socks.
Do parents stay or drop off?
2
It depends on the class!
Family classes / younger children: A caregiver stays and participates
Older children’s classes (ages 5+): Caregivers may drop off or stay nearby, unless otherwise noted.
Details will always be included in your class description. If you’re ever unsure, feel free to reach out!
What if my child and I are new to yoga?
3
That’s perfect; no experience needed! Our classes are playful, inclusive, and designed for all levels. Kids Yoga isn’t about perfect poses. It’s about exploring, creating, listening, connecting, and building confidence!
Will photos or videos be taken during the class?
4
Yes, occasionally. We may capture photos or short videos during class to share the experience of Sprout & Shine DFW with our community.
Our Photo Philosophy
At Sprout & Shine DFW, your child’s safety, comfort, and dignity always come first.
We occasionally capture photos and videos during class to share the magic of what we do—moments of movement, creativity, connection, and joy. These images help us grow our community and reach more families.
When documenting our classes, we are mindful to:
Focus on natural, joyful moments rather than posed or intrusive shots
Capture group experiences and the overall environment
Avoid sharing sensitive or vulnerable moments
Never include names or identifying personal information
We strive to create a space where children feel safe to be themselves—both in class and in anything we share beyond it.
If you ever have questions or concerns, we are always happy to connect.
What if my child has special needs, allergies, or injuries?
5
We want every child to feel safe and supported. Please share any relevant information before class or email us ahead of time so we can create the best possible experience for your child.
What is your approach to behavior & participation?
6
We create a positive, supportive environment where children are encouraged to:
Listen to their bodies
Respect others’ space
Participate in a way that feels comfortable
We understand that kids are still learning—and that wiggling, observing, or taking breaks are all part of the process.
